Is Dean Graziosi Another Real Estate Guru?

There have been many real estate gurus throughout the years who have made the claim that if you just follow their system or plan, you too can become wealthy in the real estate market.  A few names that may come to mind include Carleton Sheets, Russ Whitney, Dolf DeRoos, Wade Cook and others.

There will always be real estate gurus in our midst, and there still will be 100 years from now.  They are very similar to the stock market gurus…..simply follow their system and your life will be forever changed, right?  They often show pictures of people relaxing on the beach, as though this would be the new “normal” lifestyle for you if you would just purchase their system and use it.

What many people don’t realize is that many of these so called “gurus” are running infomercial scams.  Many of the stock, real estate and other gurus aren’t actually making their money working the systems they claim are so great.  Rather, they are making most of their money by selling their systems.  Think about it.  Why would these guys want to let so many others in on their systems if they actually made people rich?  Wouldn’t they just want to keep such highly valuable information to themselves?  I know I would.  And if these systems were so great, do you think the gurus would need the infomercials to push the products so aggressively?  If these investment systems were so great, wouldn’t they pretty much just sell themselves?

The reality for anyone looking for good information on how to make a living investing in real estate is that you have to be careful.  Not all of the information is valuable….and most of it is overpriced.

So, what can we make of the real estate guru, Dean Graziosi?  Is he another guy making money off of his investing system or does he practice what he preaches?  It’s difficult to say.  If you do an internet search for “Dean Graziosi scam,” you get close to 7,000 search results.  Although such search results don’t necessarily mean Graziosi’s system is a scam, it could indicate that there are some people who have not been happy with his system’s results.  Before making the decision to spend your hard-earned money on one of these systems, it’s always good to take some time to read some of these reviews.

Dean Graziosi has authored several books on real estate.  Another great way to see if his investing ideas pan out is to read a few of his book reviews.  This is very easy to do since Amazon has made it very easy for anyone to post a review.  Just do  a simple search on Amazon’s site for “Dean Graziosi” and you will easily find his books.  Spend some time reading these reviews to see what others thought of the advice.  Did it work for them?  If not, why?

I’m not going to make a definitive assessment on Dean Graziosi one way or the other.  However, if you are interested in checking out his system, definitely do your homework before making any purchase.  You’ve worked too hard for your money.  Don’t spend it on any real estate system before getting the opinions of others who have been there and done that.
